Dao Sheng addition
May 27 2007, 7:07 PM EDT I really like this. Some people may not consider it true Risus, but the additions you're making to Arcadomai basically ensure that the next Risus I run will be set there. Have you thought of adding the Dao Sheng RPS mechanic to this add-on? Say, weapons (for the 1, 3, 5, and 7 hex categories) get pips equal to their cost divided between Offense, Defense, and Technique? Or perhaps a straight 5 or 6 each? Gold or Custom weapons, things of that nature, would get the bonuses for their base weapon class. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

May 29 2007, 12:25 PM EDT From what I've seen, the RPS mechanic works good in almost any settiing. I really like your idea of getting pips equal to the cost of the weapon; I may give that a shot in the next campaign I run. In general, it's up to the GM whether or not to use extra rules in the Arcadomai setting. I'm adding enough extra stuff with these supplements I've been creating, that the RPS mechanic seems to be a little too much extra (although I may toss it in anyways, with the cost idea you gave me) All in all, any rule that makes sense for the system can be put it.
