I don't know that it will work for my games, nor am I sure that I want this level of difficulty, but...yes, there's always a but...this did give me the idea of starting each turn of combat with a Rock-Paper-Scissors (Defense-Technique-Offense, if you'd rather) contest. A 1 Die bonus would be awarded to the winner. This may mean that an character gets a bonus against one opponent, is even against another and is at a disadvantage against a third. I'll have to let y'all know how it works in practice... Do you find this valuable?

I still haven't gotten a good chance to playtest this yet, but I'm always looking for good feedback. This does make combat a little more complex, but I think it works well for the setting. Let me know if you run it, and how it works out. Do you find this valuable?
